Stone Transparency (formerly Write In Stone) is a software company and platform (which I helped co-found) that provides journalists and other researchers with the ability to document their research process from beginning to end and generate shareable, embeddable highlight reels in articles and documents.
The core tool allows users to capture, log, edit and share their research as video, with webcam annotations highlighting key moments in the research and decision-making process.
The team believes that the biggest problems facing journalism today - distrust and disinformation - cannot be solved through control. The solution is an open process, accessible to everyone.
We built Stone to enable users to surface their valuable research into something they could share, thereby elevating quality work and earning trust from audiences.
